Ken Paone Today (July 10, 2005), as I write these words, Hurricane Dennis bears down on the Florida Panhandle as a category 4 hurricane in fulfillment of a long-range forecast I prepared in May 2005. That's the beauty of astrometeorology! My personal encounter with astrology began in 1987 while in Colombia, South America. I wanted to discover if there was any truth to it, and to see if it was God's way of distributing personality traits and regulating earthly events. During those early months, I received a lot of help from my pen pal, Al H. Morrison. After reading Ptolemy and expressing an interest in astrometeorology, Al led me to the writings of two of his friends: G.J. McCormack and Joseph Goodavage. This led to a prolonged period of experimentation, study, and discovery. By 1995, I was writing astrometeorology articles for astrology magazines beginning with American Astrology, and Dell Horoscope. My first published forecast was a letter to the editor of the Guadalajara Colony Reporter, which appeared in the August 1998 edition. In the letter, I warned the inhabitants of the area to be prepared for hurricane formation at the end of that month. This was fulfilled in Hurricane Iris. While searching for more of McCormack's writings, I came in contact with Carolyn Egan. As time went on, the weather list that we all benefit from so much and that now circles the globe came into being under her guidance along with Sandy Rozhon. Carolyn has also done a great job of teaching and lecturing on astrometeorology. As for me, I hope to continue to learn the many secrets that are yet to be discovered in this field, and to be of benefit to others through this service. I'm originally from New York, New York and have lived for over 18 years amongst the friendly people of Latin America. Apart from astrometeorology, I am the father and home school teacher of a large and beautiful family. I play the sax, flute, guitar and piano, and occasionally compose alternative Christian music in Spanish. I'm interested in Bible prophecy and in trying to make the world a bit of a better place with the help of my beautiful wife, our kids, and our musical talents. And I'm happy to be associated with the best bunch of astrometeorologists on the planet today! Ken Paone
