DECLINATION OBSERVATIONS for SUMMER 2011
Transiting Planets in Declination from June 21, 2011 - September 23, 2011
DECLINATION - Measuring the planets and Moon by degrees north or south of the equator.
Studying the declination positions of the planets along with the horoscope lunar phase charts and observing the solar mapping graphic information adds interesting details to the seasonal long range forecast. The lines on the graph present a picture of the planets as they perform a graceful dance through the heavens in relation to Earth and Earth's equator. When the lines that depict the planets cross each other on the graph there is a related weather event that is usually more impacting than the average weather for a designated location. The dates of the planet interactions should be used in combination with standard lunar phase charts. At the beginning of the summer season, the Sun has traveled north to the Tropic of Cancer, 23:26 degrees declination, stands still for a few days, then begins its journey southward towards the equator by the time autumn arrives. The position of the Moon (dark blue line) on the graph is currently achieving 23 degrees maximum north and south declination, and the Moon is slowly heading for its lowest degree at the standstill position at 18 degrees before it begins another cycle. Here is a website that further explains this natural phenomenon cycle: http://www.iol.ie/~geniet/eng/moonperb.htm.
SUMMER DECLINATIONS Transiting In Declination 2011 The season begins with the Moon line, the fastest moving of all the planet lines, traveling from North to South maximum position about three to four times each during the season. As the Moon travels and connects with the planet lines, the weather is stimulated or triggered in certain locations. The graph degree positions are a standard for the globe and zero represents earth's equator and the planets are measured both north and south from the equator which is a great circle, extended out into space. Four planets are combining their forces to bring additional chaos to the weather. Crossing with the Moon at the end of June are Mercury (purple) Sun (blue), Venus (green) and Mars (red) at the turning point of the Moon will add heat, moisture, more heat and cold fronts combining with the wet Moon to form a severe weather system. Mid July Venus and Mars will combine at the full Moon to create additional turbulence. Near July 19th, a Mercury Jupiter combination will produce gale force winds. Venus, Sun and Moon will pair for mega rain along with the Mercury Jupiter combination for wind from August 25 to September 6 - a sure indicator for tropical development. Mars is the red line and travels to the highest north declination for the summer near the end of July and most of August he will be out of bounds. The remaining lines of Uranus (orange), Saturn (brown), Neptune (aqua) and Pluto (black) are for the most part stationary this summer. Uranus doesn't return to the equator, where it has produced incredulous weather events with angular energy, until late September where in the early fall there will be a record breaking hurricane influence to add to the Florida forecast.
USING DECLINATION - The idea of using the declination placements of the planets each season will add to the astrometeorologist's forecast. Declination placements and aspects must combine with a locational forecast. The stormy times must coincide with your location. Observations, comments and forecasts are welcome.
